English
Our current English topic is based on the story Kensuke’s Kingdom written by Michael Morpurgo. We will be using this to inspire us to write letters, narratives with speech and newspaper reports.
We are developing our writing my using varied structure including simple, compound and complex sentences. We will also be working on punctuating and using speech effectively within narratives as well as other forms of punctuation.

Maths
Within Maths, we are currently looking at length and perimeter. We will then be moving on to fractions and decimals. We will continue to work on improving our written methods and our answers to reasoning problems.

In the afternoons we are following the RISE curriculum and are learning all about electricity, the Roman Empire and the geography of the Americas.

Important information
- Our PE day is Tuesday.
- Children should access TT rock stars multiple times a week.
- Read as often as possible
