"Together in God's grace, may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly"

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

What is SEND?

A child or young person has Special Educational Needs if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for them.

A child has a learning difficulty if he/she has a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of others of the same age or has a disability which prevents or hinders them from making use of facilities of a kind generally provided for others of the same age.

A special educational provision is an educational or training provision that is additional to or different from that made generally for others.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is split into 4 broad areas:

  • Communication and Interaction
