Former England Footballer Jess Clarke Inspires Pupils at Loughborough Church of England Primary School

Pupils at Loughborough Church of England Primary School, part of Rise Multi Academy Trust, were treated to an inspiring visit from former England professional footballer Jess Clarke, who came to share her journey into sport and motivate children to believe in themselves and achieve their goals.
The visit, organised through Activ Kids UK – a free charity that supports school sport and unsponsored athletes – gave every year group the chance to meet Jess and take part in a sponsored sports circuit. Activities such as press-ups, star jumps, and other fun challenges helped pupils raise money to support unsponsored athletes across the UK.
Following the circuit, Jess led a whole-school assembly where she spoke about her career in football, the dedication it takes to become a professional athlete, and the importance of resilience and determination. Pupils had the chance to ask Jess questions about her journey and experiences as an England footballer.
Headteacher Nicola Ferey said:
“It was a privilege to welcome Jess Clarke into our school. Opportunities like this are what make Loughborough Church of England Primary School unique. We are committed to providing children with positive role models who inspire them to flourish and succeed, both inside and outside of the classroom. Jess’s story showed our pupils that with hard work and determination, they can achieve great things.”
Loughborough Church of England Primary School continues to ensure that every child has access to enriching experiences that broaden horizons, build confidence, and empower them to succeed in all aspects of life.
