"Terrific toys" afternoons are all about sewing! We have learned various different stitches to make soft toys out of felt. At the moment we are making multicoloured mice!
The children make a chord, using a knitting doll and wool. They then twist the chord into a shape.
So far they have made:
- and Christmas trees.
Key stage 2 children have been working on a piece of art work during Ultimate Friday, Crazy Crafting. They have recycled old material to make a ragrug to represent our school. The design incorporates a block of colour for each of the houses with a cross in the middle. This cross, which contains all the house colours, shows that Jesus is at the centre of all that we do and unites us together.
During Ultimate Friday, in Crazy Crafting, this year we are making tie dye bags. First, we have used elastic bands to mask some of the material, then we dyed them. The results are spectacular! We will sew on our initials and then sew them up into drawstring bags.
