3M Young Innovators Challenge
Two of our entries got through to the finals of the 3M Young Innovators Challenge held at Loughborough College:
Two year 4 children with their Needlephone in the Eco Tech category (they had to design and build a musical instrument out of recycled materials that could play a recognisable tune) and five year 5 children with their Carillon Bridge in the Canyon Crossing category (they had to design and build a weight bearing bridge that could hold up to 12kg).
Everybody had a fantastic evening where they had the chance to see all the other finalist’s entries, from the 5 different categories, as well as every finalist being presented with awards by Nicky Morgan. The Carillon Bridge came away with a Highly Commended award.
