Our year 3 children have just returned from their residential at Beaumanor Hall. They had a very enjoyable and busy three days, even with the rain. They took part in lots of exciting activities such as: treasure hunt, survival-den building, hide and seek in the cellars, archery, bridge building, bird watching, pond dipping and night campfire, where they toasted marshmellow, sang songs and drank hot chocolate.
Here are a few of their thoughts.
Holly and Evelyn
We slept in cabins and chose which bunk bed we wanted to sleep in. Our favourite part about Beaumanor was when we played hide and seek in the cellars. All of the lights were turned off, so it was as dark as midnight, while people searched for us using torches. It was so much fun!
Bridge building was also very good fun. We had to cross a stream which was moving very fast from all of the rain we had the day before. Unfortunately some of us fell in and got very, very wet.
We loved Beaumanor Hall so much that we wanted to stay there, but we were glad when we saw our families again.
