Year 3 have had a lovely three days at Beaumanor where they got the chance to take part in a number of exciting activities, such as: archery, bridge building, survival (making shelters and shown how to make a fire), visiting the cellars, a night walk (blind folded), pond dipping and bug hunting.
This is what two of our children thought about their time there.
‘Last week Year 3 went to Beaumanor Hall. First, we went on a treasure hunt. It was really tricky! After that we went to look at our cabins. The next activity that we did was archery or bridge building. Some people got a little wet, but it was really fun. After some delicious food, we played hide-and-seek. It was tremendously dark as we turned the lights out, we had to be very brave. After getting back to the cabin we got a hot chocolate and then it was time for bed.
The next day was just as much fun as the first, with survival and nightline. We built our own dens in the wood and had hot chocolate round the campfire. Nightline was where we had to follow a rope in the dark in the wood.
The last day we found lots of wildlife in the pond and then it was time to go. We didn’t want to leave because we enjoyed it so much! Beaumanor Hall is the best!’
