Santa Fun Run and Walk

Sunday 3rd December at 11am

Following the great day we had last year we are very keen to do this again, we would love to see more families joining us this year and help raise money for the school (last year sponsorships raised £904 for the PFA). The entry fees are £14 adult & £7 Child. The PFA will fund half the entry fee for all those participating and raising sponsorship money for us. We will be in the playground soon looking to sign up runners and sponsors, look out for us in our Santa suits.

You don’t have to run, walking is acceptable and the distance is 5k, children are able to participate with parents.

Ecokids Project

January 2018 (T.B.A)

Just like the Bag2School we used in the previous years, this organisation collects clothes, shoes, hat, ties, bags and belts paying per kilo we donate. We would ask you to start thinking about anything you’d like to donate. We thought this would be a good New Year clear out opportunity, last year your donated clothes helped to raise nearly £200. More details will follow soon.

Highlights of 2016-2017

This year thanks to your support we raised an amazing £2622, nearly £300 more than last year. This and a healthy account balance from last year allowed us to donate back to our school over £4600 in 2016/2017.

We have contributed toward the cost of:

  • 3D VR phones and goggles (£3264)
  • funded the EYFS Story Book for new parents and children (£900)
  • subsidized once again the Life Education Bus (£357)
  • supported a few smaller school activities (£143).

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for your help and support, every cake you bake, every raffle ticket you sell and the time you give really make a difference to your child’s school life!

How the PFA have benefited the pupils, parents and the school

The PFA has provided some fun events for everyone to join in and in the process we have raised some useful funds.

Things we have paid for include: trips to the Christmas pantomime for the whole-school; The Life Education Bus; indoor games for wet playtimes; outdoor play equipment for playtimes and VR headsets with phones for virtual fieldtrips.

Past projects

The boat and crocodile on the playground was purchased by the P.F.A a number of years ago. This fantastic piece of playground equipment has brought a lot of enjoyment to the children and has helped to enhance their imagination at playtime. The P.F.A contributed £2000 towards this from the proceeds of the Summer Fair and other events.
