Our Values

Our Values Education is an integral part of daily life here at Loughborough C.E. (Aided) Primary School. We have six core Christian values which are embedded in all we do and help to make our school a distinctive church school. Our values are:

FORGIVENESS, RESPECT, PERSEVERANCE, PEACE, COMPASSION, JUSTICE.

If you want to know more keep coming back to find out about our Values Curriculum, which is changed every half term.

Our value for this half term is: Compassion

Reflection points: Compassion is.......

  • Being sensitive to the suffering of others
  • Offering care and concern
  • Noticing a need
  • Always listening and being interested in others

‘ When Jesus saw the crowd his heart was filled with compassion, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.’

Mark 6:34

Noticing a need is perhaps one of the most important definitions of compassion. Sometimes we can be so busy with the things that we want to do, the games that we want to play and the people that we want to speak to that we fail to notice when someone else needs our help.

Sometimes, we even ignore people on purpose who need our help. We think that helping will change our plans or hold us up.

Look for people in need. Perhaps that person is sad or maybe going through a difficult time in his or her life.
