Coding Competition 2016

On the 26th May 4 year 5 children attended the Year 5 Coding Competition Grand Final at Our Lady's Convent. 4 schools entered the competition, with each school entering 2 pieces of work.

The aim of the competition was to create a short animation (no more than 60 seconds long) in Scratch to educate other Year 5 students about the meaning of the term "British Values".

The judges, including the Mayor and Mayoress, were so impressed with both our entries that we were awarded joint runner up.

Jessica and Jae’s “The Rule of Law” shows the consequences of what might happen if you break the law.

Aniqa and Zoe’s entry “Democracy” shows the election process of voting for a head boy and girl, including hustings and acceptance speeches.
